Preparation of the Fourth National Report on Biological Diversity

             As a Party to the UN-Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), submission of report on how the country is implementing the convention is one of the country’s obligations to the CBD.  The main output of the preparation process will be the 4^th National Report prepared in accordance with the CBD guidelines for submission to the CBD Secretariat in both hard and electronic format before or by 30 March 2009.

 The Project has the following specific outputs: 

a)     4^th National Report to the CBD

b)     Popular version of the National Report

c)    Nationwide consultations among concerned stakeholders at the national and local levels

d)    Recommendations or Action Plan to fully put into operation the information sharing network, through the CHM and to sustain its operation

e)     Project Terminal Report  

Accomplishments: 

·        Creation of the Project Management Team (PAWB Special Order 2008-20 dated 19 June 2008)

·        In the process of hiring the Local Consultant who would ensure that the activities under the Project are implemented accordingly.
