NIPAP

The Technical Assistance contract was signed on 27 September 1995. The project utilising EU grant was completed on March 31, 2001.

The project emphasizes a community-based sustainable protection strategy within the framework of the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) Act of 1992 (Republic Act 7586). NIPAP is financed through a grant from the European Community and a progressively increasing contribution from the Philippine Government starting from the third year onwards.
