PROTECTED AREA OFFICE

   

Management of Mount Malindang Natural Park is the responsibility of the Protected Areas and Wildlife Division of the Regional Office of DENR (Region 10). The Secretary of DENR is empowered to establish zoning, rules and regulations, review plans for management, make agreements and raise and manage funds. Day-to-day management of the park is implemented by the Park Superintendent (PASU or PASu) overseen by a Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) who decides allocations for budget and matters relating to planning and general administration of the area The RED is the Chairman of the PAMB, and is normally represented by the Assistant Regional Executive Director for Operations. The present PAMB was approved in June 2000 and has 57 members, 17 of which form the Executive Committee.
